College Loyalty Portal

The LoopedIn startup created the College Portal app, a simple way to help students do better in school. This app uses rewards to encourage good behavior patterns. The goal of the Portal is extremely ambitious: we wanted to make students stay in college by changing their behavior. The faculty can pick good habits they want to encourage, like going to school events or eating healthy, and give rewards to students who do them.

The discovery phase revealed a clear alignment between the school's objectives and the students' aspirations, which has been effectively integrated into a reward-based portal. This system is designed to incentivize desired behaviors and engagement, with the involvement of key stakeholders including parents, faculty, students, and vendors, ensuring a comprehensive and collaborative educational environment.

The affinity diagram acts as a blueprint for the main user journeys within the app, delineating the navigation through key features. Since different teams were responsible for various aspects of the app, this diagram was essential in highlighting the interdependencies among features, ensuring coherence and facilitating alignment across the teams' work. It served as a critical tool for maintaining a unified vision of the user experience.

This setup enables college administrators to select a color set that best matches their institution’s branding, streamlining the customization process.
